The Illinois Secretary of State revokes the driver's license of anyone convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI, DWI or drunk driving). Individuals subject to a revoked license or discretionary suspension must seek relief through the Secretary of State Department of Administrative Hearings. Prior to the hearing, however, these persons must meet certain minimum requirements
In order to attend a Secretary of State hearing, a Petitioner will need to present a drug/alcohol evaluation that has been completed within the past six months, a treatment needs assessment and documentation of treatment (or a treatment waiver, if applicable). Some Petitioners may require additional documentation to proceed with their hearing.
PITCS will work with both you and your attorney, provide all required documentation and a Secretary of State hearing orientation
